Nové Mesto (New Town), the best place to stay in Prague

These are the accommodations that appear on the blue map.

For a trip of a few days the neighborhood of Nové Mesto is the best option, a step away from everything you can walk virtually anywhere and no time is wasted on travel.

This part of the city “only” is 600 years old, that’s why they call it the new city, we really liked being here and that’s why we are our favorite.

We stayed in the apartment SeNo 6 apartments very close to the Powder Tower and 10 minutes from the Old Town Square, but we have seen that the price has increased since then.

In this neighborhood besides the Opera and National Theater, is the Wenceslas Square and the famous Dancing House, among other tourist spots.

Staré Mesto (Old Town) and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov

These are the accommodations that appear green on the map.

The district of Staré Mesto is the heart of the city of Prague, is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and does not miss us at all.

Here are some of the main places to see in Prague, such as the Old Town Square and its famous astronomical clock, the Gothic church of Tyn or the 6 synagogues.

Although staying in Prague is much cheaper than staying in other European capitals such as London or Paris, the Staré Mesto district is one of the most expensive.

But if you stay here, you’ll be at the centre of everything!

Malá Strana and Hradcany

They are the lodgings that appear of purple color in the map.

Crossing the famous Charles Bridge is the district of Hradcany and the district of Malá Strana.

Prague Castle, Golden Alley and Cathedral are located in the Hradcany district.

The district of Malá Strana is at the foot of the castle, is full of baroque temples and palaces, in addition to the museum of Kafka and the wall of John Lennon.

It’s also not the cheapest place to stay in Prague but you’ll be touching a bit of the city’s history.
