Gerard and friends’ 23-day travel itinerary to Vietnam and Cambodia

Review of the travel itinerary to Vietnam and Cambodia: Since I was a child my dream has been to travel around the world, to go out and discover it. After a long time trying to convince my parents (I was 14 at the time), I managed to convince them to take a trip of this caliber. But they decided to make it Vietnam, even though I half forced them to combine it with Cambodia.

It was my first time outside Europe, in a country with a totally different culture to ours, and it could not have gone better.

Vietnam is one of my favorite countries, maybe because it’s the first one, but it has some incredible wonders. Impossible landscapes such as those of Halong Bay, beautiful trekking in the north, in Sapa and many other places, places with a lot of peace that contrast with their big overcrowded cities and with millions and millions of motorcycles. Also worth mentioning is the imperial city of Hue and Hoi An, a simply beautiful little village.

And what about Cambodia, which was a great success. We were only in Siem Reap, which is where the temples of Angkor are located. Unbelievable, there’s no more, they’re brutal.
